TECHNO PLASTICS INDUSTRIES, INC. located in Añasco, Puerto Rico, was the brainchild of a group of local experts in the Medical Device Industry.  Conceived in 1991, the company became operational in April 1992 after only five month of active support by FOMENTO.

Since then the company has increase its manufacturing capacity and its customer base by expanding from its main business of medical devices to products for the electronic/automotive industries.  TECHNO PLASTICS INDUSTRIES has perfected the manufacturing process to meet the requirements in the field of high precision molding.  Over the years this steady expansion has been accomplished without having a sales organization.  Presently the company operates three shift five days a week.

Currently the company has twenty injection molding machines ranging from 30 to 500 tons, two Brandson Ultrasonic Welders and two annealing ovens.  The injection molding machines are microprocessor controlled and are equipped with close-loop and servo capabilities during the plastics injection process.  All machinery is housed in two class 100,000 clean rooms.
